Maeta's journey
In a small village in Indonesia, an 8 year old girl’s life took a difficult turn when her father, who worked in construction, passed away in a tragic accident. Now, her mother faces the challenge of raising three daughters, all under ten years old, on her own. With no steady income, making ends meet has become a daily struggle.
Although public education is available in Indonesia, attending school still requires resources that this family simply doesn’t have. Transportation, uniforms, books, and lunches add up quickly, making it hard for this young girl to keep up with her education. She wants to learn, but the costs are a barrier her family can’t overcome on their own.
This is where Dahindo steps in. Recognizing the importance of education, Dahindo is committed to ensuring that this girl and her sisters have the support they need to stay in school. Each year, they provide the essentials—uniforms, books, and transportation—so that she can focus on her studies without worrying about the financial burden on her family.
The support from Dahindo goes beyond just helping one child; it’s about giving all three sisters the opportunity to build a better future. With continued help, these girls can pursue their education and break the cycle of poverty that has affected their lives.
By standing with this family, Dahindo is making sure that these girls have the chance to succeed. It’s a small investment that can make a big difference, ensuring that they have the tools they need to reach their full potential.
